PUBLISHING POLICIES
Content Policy
Aleph Publishing accepts original, unpublished manuscripts that represent a significant advance in their field and meet the criteria of timeliness, relevance, methodological rigor, and originality. Accepted formats include research-based books, academic texts, manuals, compilations, proceedings of scientific events, popular science works, and educational materials. We accept submissions in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, preferably in Word format.
Open Access Policy
Aleph Publishing adopts a comprehensive model of immediate and unrestricted open access, inspired by the principle that the free circulation of scientific and academic knowledge fosters collective development, innovation, and the global transfer of knowledge.
We firmly believe that democratizing access to published research enhances interdisciplinary dialogue, reduces geographical and economic barriers, and accelerates the generation of new knowledge. Therefore, all editorial content is available free of charge from the moment of publication, both to readers and to institutions, with no fees charged for access, downloading, or viewing.
Our editorial policy ensures that users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, link to, or use the full texts for lawful purposes, in accordance with the definition established by the Bucharest Declaration. This includes the right to academic and educational reuse, promoting an ecosystem of open and collaborative science.
For authors, this means publishing on a platform that maximizes the visibility, impact, and international dissemination of their work, without requiring them to fully relinquish their rights. Our works are published under Creative Commons licenses, primarily under the CC BY-NC-SA license, which allows for distribution and adaptation provided that authorship is cited, the work is not used for commercial purposes, and the same license is maintained.
Digital Preservation Policies
Aleph Publishing guarantees long-term digital preservation through quarterly digital backups and metadata interoperability under OAI-PMH protocols, ensuring that every publication is accessible, citable, and enduring over time.
Editorial Aleph Peer Review Policy
We guarantee academic quality and impartiality in every publication through a rigorous peer review process, structured in clear and transparent stages.
Initial Relevance Screening: Each manuscript received is initially reviewed by the Editorial Board, which assesses its alignment with the journal’s focus, compliance with basic submission guidelines, and thematic relevance. This preliminary review determines whether the work proceeds to the formal peer-review process.
Double-blind peer review: Manuscripts approved in the initial stage undergo a double-blind peer review process, which ensures the anonymity of both the authors and the reviewers. This process involves external national and international experts with experience in the subject matter of the manuscript.
Review Criteria: Reviewers assess the manuscript’s originality, methodological rigor, scientific relevance, clarity of presentation, validity of conclusions, and appropriate use of references. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
Results and editorial decisions: Following the review, the recommendations are classified as: Accept, Accept with minor revisions, Revise and resubmit, or Reject. Authors are given a deadline to make the requested corrections, after which the Editorial Board makes the final decision on publication.
Timelines and transparency: The entire review process takes an estimated 4 to 6 weeks. Editorial Aleph is committed to maintaining clear and timely communication with authors at every stage of the process, ensuring confidentiality, objectivity, and respect for intellectual work.
This system ensures that all Editorial Aleph publications meet the highest standards of academic quality, contributing to the credibility and impact of open-access science.
Anti-Plagiarism Policy: All manuscripts are reviewed using specialized anti-plagiarism software called Compilatio. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 10% will be rejected, and authors are fully responsible for the originality of their work.
Editorial Aleph’s Ethics Policy
Editorial Aleph is fully committed to ethics, transparency, and academic responsibility in all its publications and editorial processes.
Our publishing house strictly adheres to the guidelines and codes of conduct established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring responsible, fair, and respectful editorial practices toward all parties involved.
We promote academic integrity at every stage of the editorial process, from the receipt of manuscripts to their publication and dissemination. We require authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to fundamental ethical principles: originality, truthfulness, confidentiality, objectivity, and disclosure of conflicts of interest.
All research involving human subjects, animals, or sensitive data must be approved by a duly constituted ethics committee and must include informed consent from participants when applicable. For studies conducted on vulnerable populations, compliance with current national and international regulations is required.
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work, the proper citation of sources, the absence of plagiarism, and the disclosure of funding sources or potential conflicts of interest. Any omission or ethical violation may result in the non-publication or retraction of the work.
Reviewers agree to conduct objective, constructive, and confidential reviews based on scientific and academic criteria, free from personal or professional bias. Their identities are protected at all times through the double-blind review system.
The Editorial Board of Editorial Aleph ensures the quality and ethical standards of each publication, guaranteeing transparent processes, well-reasoned editorial decisions, and the public correction of errors when necessary. We reject any form of manipulation, falsification, or academic misconduct.
